Thanks to the Esteemed President, interest in the Turkmenbashi International seaport is growing every day. On February 1, 2019, a meeting was held with representatives of the Japanese Association for Trade with Russia and the Newly Independent States (ROTOBO) at the Turkmenbashi International seaport. The purpose of the meeting was to conduct research by the Association, and the theme of the meeting was “The impact of signing the Convention on the Legal Status of the Caspian sea on regional development and future prospects”.
The development of transport communications is one of the leading directions of our dear President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov’s policy.
The Turkmenbashi International Seaport, which continues its work with the support of Esteemed Arkadag, currently occupies the leading places among the Caspian ports for the transport of transit cargo.
On January 16th, 2019, a meeting was held on an investment project for the joint construction of ships at the “Balkan” shipbuilding and ship repair plant at the Turkmenbashi international seaport.
On December 28, 2018, a New Year event was organized at the “Charlak” Hotel for the children of the staff of the International Sea Port of Turkmenbashi.
In the hotel “Beýik Ýüpek ýoly” located on the territory of the Turkmenbashi international seaport between December 17-21, 2018 by the Ashgabat branch of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), training lessons were held to gain experience and increase the level of specialists. Experts of the Turkmenbashi international seaport participated in these trainings along with the ministries.
Following the conclusion of the Agreement on transit and transport cooperation between the five states on the route “Lazurit” (Afghanistan-Turkmenistan-Azerbaijan-Georgia-Turkey), on December 19, 2018, a caravan for the first pilot flight arrived at the Turkmenbashi International Sea Port. On December 21, 2018, a transport caravan was sent to the Republic of Azerbaijan on the ferry Berkarar. These caravans will reach the Republic of Turkey through the Republic of Georgia.
2018, passing under the slogan "Turkmenistan is the heart of the Great Silk Road" is filled with huge projects in the transport sector. As it is known on December 11, 2018 to the day of the International Neutrality, an international scientific conference “The heritage of the Great Silk Road and modern international relations” was held in the Chamber of Commerce in Ashgabat.
As you know, on November 28, 2018, in the center of congresses of the national tourism zone “Avaza” was held an international conference of transport ministers of Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, the Turkish Republic and the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan on transit and transport cooperation along the route “Lapis lazuli”. During the conference was held an exhibition. At this exhibition, along with other sectors, an advertising model and stand of the Turkmenbashi international seaport of the state service of Sea and River Transport of Turkmenistan was put up.
The Turkmenbashi International Seaport also took part in the 23rd international conference and exhibition, which was held on November 22-23, 2018 in the building of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan in Ashgabat.
Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan signed documents for the development of bilateral cooperation
On November 14, 2018, the 15th jubilee international exhibition TransUzbekistan - 2018 opened in the capital of Uzbekistan, Tashkent. The international sea port of Turkmenbashi is represented on it with its own stand and has attracted a lot of attention from the first days.
On November 8, 2018, the heads of the State Service of Sea and River Transport of Turkmenistan and the Turkmenbashi International Seaport held a meeting with representatives of “ITOCHU Corporation”. Representatives of the company were acquainted with all the possibilities of the Turkmenbashi international seaport.
On November 7, 2018, the heads of the State Service of Sea and River Transport of Turkmenistan and the Turkmenbashi International Seaport held a meeting with Mele Bekmuradov, Director of Assosiation of the Turkmen Logistics Economic Society.
On November 6, 2018, the director of the Turkish company “Suvari Shipping & Trading”, Ismail Terzi, visited the International Seaport in Turkmenbashi. The guest met with the heads of the State Service of Maritime and River Transport of Turkmenistan and the Turkmenbashi International Seaport. During the meeting, the guest was told about all the capabilities of the port and the shipbuilding and ship-repair plant "Balkan" and were provided video clips.

On October 16, 2018, the Director of the Caspian Institute of Maritime and River Transportation Olga Kartashova, as well as the head of the international relations department of the educational institution Muleev Damir, visited the Turkmenbashi International Seaport with a working visit.
Turkmenbashi International Seaport took participation in the 11th International Conference on Telecommunications, Telemetry, Information Technologies and Broadcasting Equipment - “TurkmenTEL 2018” which was held on the 10-12 October, 2018, in Conference Hall of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan in Ashgabat.
